Cleared Path Consulting is an industrial security firm founded by Dan Workman, who spent years at the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) as a Special Agent and Industrial Security Representative overseeing 70+ cleared contractor facilities. Because he evaluated security programs, conducted facility assessments, and accredited classified spaces from the government side, he knows exactly what DCSA looks for, where companies usually stumble, and how to fix issues before they become findings.

Cleared Path supports the full program lifecycle under 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM):

*Facility Clearance & FOCI: FCL sponsorship from DD Form 441 through DD 254 flow-down, foundational documents, FOCI risk evaluation and mitigation, Electronic and Technology Control Plans, and Key Management Personnel training.

*Program Standup & Sustainment: SPPs, Insider Threat Program Plans, and SOPs; DISS, NISS, and NBIS management; continuous vetting; SEAD 3 reporting; mandatory briefings; annual self-inspections; and in-person support during DCSA reviews.

*Classified Space & Physical Security: Planning and accrediting Open Storage Areas and Restricted Areas, plus physical security assessments that catch vulnerabilities before an auditor does.

*Insider Threat & Security Ratings: ITP maturity roadmaps, threat briefings, working groups, tabletop exercises, and a Security Rating Scorecard strategy that moves programs from Satisfactory toward Commendable and Superior.

*Incident Response & Investigations: Required reporting, internal inquiries, security violation reports, and corrective actions driven to closure.

Clients work with Dan directly, with no hand-offs, account managers, or ticket queues. Support is scoped to the actual size of the contract and offered as a W-2 FSO, 1099 AFSO, or cleared consultant, on hourly blocks or a monthly retainer. Cleared Path is based in Apex, NC and supports clients remotely nationwide, with on-site support as needed.
